Welcome to Equifax Explorer
Equifax will be disabling Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 3.0 encryption to prevent it from being exploited to access the Equifax platforms. The purpose of this change is to address a security vulnerability known in the public domain as POODLE.
In order to address this risk and protect our customers from unnecessary service impact, we have decided to implement this change on a phased basis.
A preparatory change will take place on Sunday 15th March during the standard weekend maintenance window (00:00 to 07:00). However this will be non-disruptive and seamless from your perspective.
A further and final change will then take place to fully disable SSL3 encryption on Sunday 19th April, again during the standard weekend maintenance window.
As an Equifax client, what action do I need to take?
In order for users to continue to have seamless access to our services, you need to ensure browsers and integrations have TLS 1.0 encryption or higher enabled. If your browser or integration does not have TLS 1.0 or higher enabled after we make this change, you may not be able to access Equifax systems.
